Several studies have explored the benefits of using weighted blankets.

A sleep study published in the Journal of Sleep Medicine & Disorders found that participants who used the weighted chain blanket tested had a calmer night’s sleep, with a decrease in movements.

In another study, 68% of participants rated their anxiety lower with the use of a 30-pound weighted blanket. These results were published in 2008 in the journal Occupational Therapy in Mental Health.
